We are currently facing a high, growing demand of services to host at least 600 children at a time. We appeal to the donor community and individuals for all types of:
Building materials- to help us build permanent structures
Camping equipment (used or new) including tents,
Camping mattresses, stretcher beds, sleeping bags, folding camp tables and chairs, head lamps;
Expedition equipment: hiking bags, small folding mattresses, thin sleeping bags, first aid kits, caps or floppy hats, outdoor shoes and sandals, head lamps;
Climbing equipment like helmets of all sizes, harnesses of all sizes, ropes and accessories for climbing and abseiling;
T-shirts that make part of the graduation ceremony.
We also appeal for any type of assistance to develop the 6.9 hector land as campsite. Plans for both campsites are already drawn and approved by authorities.
You can help build the campsite
Colts to Botswana, a group of High School students from Canada mobilized funds and came down to Botswana to work with local builders and contracted a 40 person multi-purpose hall. This was one of the first and most crucial building we ever needed. It is used as a meeting place for campers; as a restaurant for small groups and as a training facility for professionals like social workers coming for training on our different wilderness-based therapies.
At the end of the project they held a big official handing over of the hall together with the community, Ark and mark Trust team, Department of Social protection, and the minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Local Government and Lands
We still need more permanent buildings to make our clients comfortable. Contact us
