Our mandate as an organization is to transform the lives of vulnerable children, youth and their families through specialized psychotherapy services, which embed psychological transformation, health reform, spiritual development
and a refocus on youth’s career development (empowerment). We offer the following to children of ages 7 – 18 and youth of 19-39:
Grief therapy for children, youth and their families.
Therapy for the sexually abused
Therapy to correct truancy behaviors
Behavior modification for children and youth with maladaptive and delinquent behaviors
Rehabilitation and detox therapy for those with alcohol and drug addiction challenges
Therapeutic workshops for parents using ICDP international positive parenting program.
Practice has proven that therapy for young people is effective through group support, experiential learning activities coupled with practical challenges and learning through fun. The wilderness offers a great platform for practical metaphors of life’s harshness, effective way of toughening, re-building self-efficacy and lost self-confidence. Our programs use international concepts and are locally contextualized to work within the culture and for different clients in their uniqueness: In all our programs we combine clinical and social psychological approaches to therapy with the local positive ways to character building.
Our therapy services are offered countrywide, in all parts of Botswana. We work with local professionals to take on the therapy services. We have offered therapy services to more than 14000 children, their families, and 600 youth. Our clients changed lives always affect other children and youth positively…good ripple effects.
